How coupled channels on the 81160A help generate IQ signals for modulator or receiver test

When working with more than 1 channel, some applications require the channels to be 100% synchronous. One example application is the generation of complex modulated signals. Channel 1 would generate the I-part of the signal and channel 2 would generate the Q-part of the signal. To ensure reliable transmission and decoding of the signal, both channels must refer to the same time base and start playing at the same time. This is what the ""Coupled Channels"" feature on the 81160A and 81150A is offering to the user.

In this video you will see how to setup such an application example and you will also see how to create distorted signals with the 81160A and 81150A to stress the Device Under Test (DUT).
